In-Person SessionsAfter a first-session intake interview, the client will experience the session fully clothed, either sitting in a chair or lying on a treatment table. The practitioner relies on the body’s inherent knowledge of itself to locate the energy circuits that need to be in better communication or balance by using a form of neuromuscular biofeedback, which is a subtle muscle-testing technique.
By asking the client’s innate body wisdom a series of yes/no questions based on an extensive and comprehensive protocol, the practitioner will be led to locate the imbalances that are a priority, or are not communicating correctly and are out of balance with the rest of the body/mind.

Then, while the practitioner and client lightly touch the areas that have been identified, the practitioner will tap gently on the head and the sternum. By tapping on the head, the brain becomes aware of and repairs the communication link. The tapping on the heart energy complex ensures that the new information is communicated and "remembered' throughout the whole body.
This process, repeated for each issue that the client’s body/mind wishes to address in a session, guarantees the mechanisms of the body can function at higher levels. This, in turn, accelerates the healing process and prevents future imbalances within the highlighted areas. The body/mind is learning to return itself to balance.
It can happen that significant change and healing results from even one session, but often several sessions are recommended for optimal results.
Remote or Distance SessionsSince the BodyTalk System applies principles of modern physics and works at the level of energy frequencies, time and space are not a factor in using the system with a client who is not physically present with the practitioner. Using a technique developed by John Veltheim called Mindscape, the practitioner can “tune in” to the client’s energy frequencies and proceed with a session in much the same way as when the client is present. Sometimes it may be helpful to use another person as a surrogate for the client. For a remote session, the client is asked to complete and send in the intake forms, along with a photograph, before a session takes place. Telephone contact, if possible, is made to begin a session. If the client does not remain on the telephone throughout the session, a full report is sent to him/her afterwards. |
